In October 2018, I will be co hosting a Yoga and Ayurveda retreat in Kerala India with fellow yoga teacher Emily Spurling. The retreat will be an opportunity to explore the ancient traditions of Yoga and Ayurveda as well as giving yourself some space to reflect on your life and recharge. Touted ‘God’s own Country’ Kerala is India’s luscious jewel abundant with herb and tea plantations, scenic beaches and breathtaking backwaters.

WHERE IS THE YOGA RETREAT
The Yoga Retreat will take place in the South of India in the tropical paradise of Kerala. Located on the Southern tip of the continent, Kerala has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It’s known for its palm-lined beaches and serene backwaters and network of canals – an ideal location to unwind, relax and reset your focus.
WHAT IS AYURVEDA
Ayurveda is an elaborate healing system of India, a science of life based on the laws of nature. Its derived from the Sanskrit words Ayur (life) and Veda (knowledge), it traces its origins to about 50 centuries. Your retreat begins with a detailed consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor who will carefully design Ayurveda experiences to treat, heal, restore and rejuvenate your health.
WHAT IF I’M A BEGINNER
The retreat will cater to all levels of yoga, with modifications given to beginners and advanced students to ensure each individual is catered for. In your private sessions, we can work on the basics or more difficult transitions so that you get the most out of the retreat.

|Emily Spurling is a Yoga teacher and Certified Holistic Health Coach who loves sharing the ultimate toolbox for becoming your best authentic self. Emily is an eternal student of yoga globally and is formally trained in Hatha and Vinyasa flow, she has beautifully combined these styles to create her own much loved yoga experience. This ‘fusion’ style is the perfect blend of light and shade, one flow will have you generating heat and building lean muscle and the next you will be blissing out in a slow, opening restorative sequence. WHO COMES ON YOGA RETREATS?
Mothers, daughters, husbands, friends, regular yogis & first timers, everyone is welcome. The only criteria is that you love an adventure and willing to unwind. Most of my retreat goers are usually flying solo so don’t worry at all if you’re coming by yourself as you will have plenty of like minded friends by lunch time.
On the yoga retreat, you will be daily spread of delicious Keralan cuisine, prepared using traditional Ayurvedic principles. All food is grown and sourced on the retreat’s own farm which is pesticide free. Vegan / Vegetarian / Gluten Free friendly.
