It’s been a busy few weeks exploring Snowdonia, experiencing Seacotherapy and chilling out at the luxurious Scarlet hotel in Cornwall. It’s back to the grind this week in London, however I really love every single thing I do so it’s not so much of a grind for me.
I’ve had a fun, exciting and tiring past couple of days, but I’m ending the week with a big smile. I’ve had some amazing feedback from my yoga students, an insightful nutritionist consultation, a mind blowing Chinese Medicine meeting and I locked in a blogger trip for next week to the Canary Islands (woo hoo).
Other than my normal marketing workshops, client work and yoga classes, I also spoke last night at the Hype App influencer event. I shared my story about how I came to be in London and what the journey looked like from full time work to the freelance life. So to wrap up the week – here are a few of the past couple of week’s little Luxe Loves.
Founded in 2013, ActiveinStyle understands the need for fashionable yet functional activewear. Having successfully launched Australian activewear brand Lorna Jane in the UK, ActiveinStyle expanded its offering and soon added multiple labels, exclusively launching brands such as Vie Active, Pilot Athletic, Nimble & Running Bare. Activeinstyle is my go to online destination for all things active. Headed up by a half Australian, half British duo, they were one of the first online retailers for fashionable yoga and fitness clothing in the UK. As a yoga teacher and outdoors enthusiast, I pretty much live in my activewear. Which means Activeinstyle is a god-send when looking for outfits that can take me from yoga studio to marketing workshop.
They get new stock each week so there is always plenty to choose from including my new silver croc leggings featured in the picture below.
Last week I taught a morning yoga class to a beautiful bunch of press and media to help launch the BOW Summit. We all got bendy and sweaty at the Detox Kitchen in Fitzrovia and were treated to some yummy goodies post stretch. The BOW (Business of Wellness) Summit is the first globally focused conference for startups, brand leaders and investors to discuss the future of the wellness industry. The event is the brainchild of Lauren Armes, founder of WelltodoLondon.com. In such a growing market category, it seems that every business is trying to captcha a bit of the wellness pie. If you have a business in wellness or you are thinking of starting one, you need to get yourself to BOMA. As a yoga teacher and consultant for Wellness businesses, I can’t wait to see what is in store for the 4th of June. For more information, head to the BOMA website to purchase your early bird ticket.
Hype App is your go-to guide for all things cool, creative and up and coming in London. You can find the newest restaurants, wacky coffee shops, pop up gigs and quirky clothing stores. All the content has been created by local London enthusiasts that are keen to share their tips (including me). Download the app and start saving new places and things you want to check out. I love using it when I’m in a new area and I have no idea that there is a cafe in the next street that serves almond milk.
That’s all the yoga, travel and wellness luxe loves for this week. I hope you have a beautiful weekend – get outside, go on an adventure or try something new!
